Bill Honter, BEM passed away around 7.30pm on 11 July 2025. Bands Bill served in include RAAC Band, 5MD Band and 4MD Band. Sincere condolences to Marie and their three sons and families on behalf of all members of the AABC Association. Rest In Peace Bill, your duty is done.
As advised by AABCA President Dave Oakley, the funeral for William Frederick Lucian George (Bill) Honter BEM will be held on Monday, 28 July 2025.
Note from Bob Keatch: Bill Honter will be remembered in a dedication during our annual Army Band Corps 57th birthday celebration on Saturday 26th July, at the Herdsman Lake Tavern in Wembley from 11:30am onwards. Our pre-booked glassed-off room at the Herdy has gone to another well-deserved group on the day, so situation normal, we will adjust as we have in the past and have three long tables set aside in a different space and ‘play it by ear’. Please order your meal on arrival and arrange your drinks, coffee, tea, etc.
